Lagos now selling admission forms into model colleges

The Lagos State Examinations Board has announced to the general public the commencement of sale of forms for admission into the Sixteen (16) State Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools for the Year 2021/2022 Academic Session.

A statement made available to EduCeleb.com by the Director of the Exams Board, Mr Supo Gbadegesin revealed that this year’s Entrance Examination (screening test) would be only Computer-Based Testing (CBT).

He added that any candidate who passed the test and meets the required cut-off marks would be offered admission irrespective of his/her first and second choice of schools.

Mr Gbadegesin stressed that only Primary Six Pupils who will attain the ages of 10 and 11 years by June, 2021 in both Public and Private Schools are eligible to participate in the screening test.

The Director therefore implored the Parents / Guardians, Head Teachers, Proprietors/ proprietresses in both Public and Private Schools to register their wards / pupils for a fee of #10,000 ( Ten Thousand Naira only) per head as from Monday 19th April – 31st May, 2021.

In the same vein, he noted that the Registration of candidates would be done through PIN to be issued by the Lagos State Examinations Board to upload the Bio-data of the Applicants.

Mr Gbadegesin therefore advised the candidates to collect payment invoice from the Accounts Department, Lagos State Examinations Board and make payment at any of the approved designated Banks upon which a copy of the Bank Teller showing payment would be returned to Accounts Department of the Exams Board for validation of Payment and issuance of Official Receipt.

He concluded that the screening test is the only yardstick for Admission into JSS1 in any of the Model Colleges in the state.
