FG appoints Ademola FCE Akoka provost

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Dr Azeez Ademola as the new provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka.

With this, he would be succeeding Dr Sijibomi Olusanya whose tenure is elapsing in the next few days.

Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu on Thursday, 23rd May presented Ademola his appointment letter in Abuja.

Among the contestants for the exalted office were lecturers from the college like Dr. W.A Azeez, Dr. A.A. Ajayi, Dr S.A. Adebayo, Dr. Ben Okudaye and Dr. Kehinde Ojelade among other external applicants.

EduCeleb.com gathered that Ademola is a chief lecturer of the college and had previously served as Dean, School of vocation education.

His appointment fell through after several screenings by the college’s governing council chaired by Hon. Iheanacho Obiano.

The alumnus of the University of Lagos and the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta will officially resume office on Monday, 27th May, 2019.
