A corps member serving in Cross Rivers state has become a subject of praise for what he did as his personal Community Development Service (CDS).

Stephen Teru had intervened in insufficiency of school furniture in his host community where the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed him for the compulsory national service year.

Mr Teru is serving within Old Netim in Akamkpa LGA of Cross River State.

With his carpentry skills, he helped make tables, chairs and shelves for over 80 students in Community Secondary School and St Georges Primary School, both in the host community.

He shared this feat on his Facebook page expressing gratitude to management of the school and the NYSC chief in the area.

In his words, “I must in a very special way appreciate the good people of the community for their support.”

“Big thanks to my ever supportive principal Mr Emmanuel Eni Sir, you are too much!
My NYSC Inspector, Mr Ubong Effanga, thank you Sir! You’ve been a great source of motivation to us all.”

The Jos born graduate also praised his friends and colleagues “for being there.”
