Professor Johnson Fatokun, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Anchor University has been released.
His release comes two days after his abduction while in Nasarawa State, North-Central Nigeria.
A source af the university has confirmed the development.
The mathematical sciences don was on his way from Jos, where he had gone to attend to family duties when the abduction happened.
Details are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report about the circumstances of his release.
