Abayomi Arigbabu has been appointed the Acting Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED).

His appointment came following the decision of the Ogun State government on Friday, EduCeleb.com exclusively learnt.

Professor Arigbabu would be succeeding the incumbent Vice Chancellor of TASUED, Oluyemisi Obilade whose tenure ends on Tuesday, 9th January, 2018.

A source in the school disclosed that the inability of the governing council to shop for a new VC before the expiration of Professor Obilade’s tenure necessitated the elevation of Arigbabu in acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive VC.

This was also confirmed by the institution’s spokesman, Nureni Bakanne, in a chat with EduCeleb.com.

Until his appointment, Arigbabu has been serving as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University. He is also a Professor of Mathematics Education in the university.

So Professor Arigbabu will take charge from there. You know a University cannot be without head. So he will oversee the affairs of the school”.
