43% of students fail Nigerian Law School resit exam

43.1 percent of students failed the April 2019 Bar resit examination conducted by the Nigerian Law School.

According to the Council for Legal Education, these represent 724 students of the total 1,680 who wrote the examination.

The Law School made this known in a statement over the weekend in Bwari.

It also said that 850 students who wrote it passed.

The Director General of the school, Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma also stated that 34 students, representing 2.02 percent, made conditional pass.

The number of successful candidates, which is 50.60 percent, is a decline to the 2017 April resit examination which had 65.06 percent pass and 6.5 percent conditional pass.

Call to the Bar ceremonies for the successful candidates will hold on 9th July, 2019 in Abuja.
