The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has declared that it will conduct the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from 11th April.

Over 1.8 million candidates are expected to sit for the examination nationwide based on various schedules across the accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centres in the country.

The examination body also reopened its registration portal to enable candidates who were yet to complete their registration processes do so within three days.

The JAMB Head of Public Affairs, Dr Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed this in a statement released on Wednesday, said candidates were expected to begin the printing of the 2019 UTME notification slips from Tuesday, 2nd April.

The board added that it had also fixed Monday, 1st April as the new date for its 2019 Mock Examination, which was earlier scheduled for Saturday, 23rd March.

It noted that the changes in dates were due to circumstances beyond its control .

EduCeleb.com recalls that JAMB had on 20th February postponed both the mock examination and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination because of the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections.

This latest development of postponing the Mock UTME is also occasioned by supplementary elections expected to take place on the 23rd in at least six states.

“The board has also scheduled to conduct the 2019 UTME from Thursday , April 11. Candidates are to begin the printing of the 2019 UTME notification slips from Tuesday, April 2.

The public should note that the board will not reschedule the examination for any candidate . Candidates can also print their slips anywhere.”

On the reopening of the registration portal, the board said that it noticed that some candidates created profiles but didn’t complete registration steps. The three day grace was to enable them do that rightly.
